Gabe was born in South Africa and grew up in an entrepreneurial family, which nurtured his resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. During his school years, he successfully ran four small businesses, including confectionary wholesale, bicycle restoration, and large-scale house and pet sitting services. These early ventures provided him with invaluable lessons that he carried into his adult life, where he co-founded multiple businesses, such as a transport service connecting Tasmania with its nearest international airport, an import and wholesale business focused on African luxury products, and an immersive technology company that developed an innovative air balancing simulator for the HVAC industry.
Gabe’s professional journey spans leadership roles in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, where he built and led high-performing teams. His community service includes time as a police detective, volunteer paramedic, and marine rescue officer. He also contributed to the development of a large-scale tech solution that supported millions of Australians during the COVID pandemic. Currently, Gabe is the co-founder and leader of Adapt, a company dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses thrive. With a team of experts boasting over a century of collective experience, Gabe and his team are recognized for building resilient, scalable businesses while fostering healthy, high-performing cultures.
